NJ Flag Status

Tuesday, September 27, 2022, until sunset on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 — All Flags Half-Staff

The flag of the United States of America and the flag of New Jersey shall be flown at half-staff at all State departments, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities during appropriate hours beginning at sunrise on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, until sunset on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in recognition and mourning of a statesman and public servant, Governor Jim Florio.

This Order shall take effect immediately.

Executive Order 308

 

Since December 2015, NJSA 52:3-12.1 requires the Office of the Secretary of State create and maintain an electronic notification system alerting the public when US and State flags are to be flown at half-staff.
