Assemblywoman Carol Murphy

Co-Chair

Assemblywoman Carol A. Murphy was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is the proud daughter of an U.S. Army Veteran and Bronze Star recipient who instilled in her the values of public service, integrity, and honor.

Dedicated to public service, the Assemblywoman previously served as Director of Policy to Assemblywoman Mosquera and Chief of Staff to Senator Greenstein.

In 2017, Assemblywoman Murphy was elected to the New Jersey State Assembly becoming the first woman to represent the 7th Legislative District in the Assembly in over 20 years. In the Assembly, she serves as Deputy Speaker and Chair of the Assembly Health Committee. During her tenure, the Assemblywoman has been a prolific legislator, championing historic investments in women’s healthcare, reducing stigmas surrounding mental health, and working to combat human trafficking. Among her proudest accomplishments is working with former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords to pass groundbreaking legislation that removes domestic violence abusers' access to firearms.

As the highest-ranking woman to serve from South Jersey in the Legislature, the Assemblywoman remains committed to strengthening New Jersey and prioritizing the issues that matter most to working families.

Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips

Co-Chair

Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips is an Attorney and a Member of the New Jersey State Legislature.

Assemblyman DePhilips is a graduate of Georgetown University and Seton Hall University School of Law. During his career, the Assemblyman has served in various roles as outside counsel and in-house counsel. Most recently, he served as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Porzio Life Sciences, an RLDatix Company. Currently, Assemblyman DePhillips is Partner at the law firm of Bernstein DePhillips & Kalosieh in Bergen County.

In 2017, Assemblyman DePhilips was elected to the State Assembly. In the Assembly, he serves as the Conference Leader of the Assembly Republican Caucus. He also serves as a Member of the Assembly Transportation Committee and the Science, Innovation & Technology Committee. Previously, the Assemblyman was the Mayor of Wyckoff where he also served on the Township Committee for 3 years. Additionally, he served for 6 years as a Commissioner of the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority.

Assemblyman DePhillips resides in Wyckoff with his wife, Patti, and they have 4 children.
