The New Jersey Business Action Center, the "One-Stop Shop" for Doing Business in New Jersey

Ready to grow your business in the Garden State? The New Jersey Business Action Center, the Business-First Resource for Doing Business in New Jersey. Under the leadership of Executive Director Melanie Willoughby, the NJBAC has refocused its efforts to help companies of all sizes save time and money by getting answers from government agencies, directing businesses to appropriate contacts, and facilitating meetings and partnerships. All at no cost to New Jersey businesses!

 

All-In-One Resource for Starting and Expanding Your Business
Comprised of the Offices of Business Advocacy, Small Business Advocacy, Export Promotion and Planning Advocacy, the NJBAC is charged with offering a wide range of resources and support. Here’s a snapshot of BAC’s products and services:

  • Assistance navigating the State’s permitting and regulatory processes.
  • Consultation on availability of workforce training grants, talent recruitment and energy efficiency programs.
  • Help with obtaining licenses and permits, as well as other business-related approvals.
  • Professional export assistance, including developing viable export plan, identifying buyers and international markets, and offering trade assistance and advocacy—plus offering NJSTEP grant awards to help eligible small businesses participate in internationally focused trade shows or missions.
  • Support with site selection services for businesses looking to launch, grow or relocate.

Enhancing the NJBAC’s ability to support New Jersey business is the New Jersey Business Helpline. There's no need to wait around for answers to your business-related questions either.  Just call 1-800-JERSEY-7 and speak with a business representative. English and Spanish speaking advocates are ready with guidance on incorporating, small business and minority certification, accessing government resources and more. The New Jersey Business Helpline is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What’s more, NJBAC offers assistance to help restore businesses following hurricanes, storms and other disasters. Just call 1-800-Jersey-7 for all your business concerns.
