The New Jersey Cultural Trust Act was signed into law on July 25, 2000, and the Cultural Trust Board of Trustees met for the first time on July 12, 2001. In recognition of these milestones, the Cultural Trust is celebrating its 25th anniversary year from July 2025 through July 2026.

On May 18, 2026, the Cultural Trust Board gathered in Trenton for a special anniversary meeting, with a program reflecting on a quarter century of support for New Jersey’s nonprofit cultural sector.
