Statewide Advisory Councils

Guiding the Mission. Shaping the Partnership

The FAC Statewide Advisory Council is a select body of highly respected faith leaders from across New Jersey — representing diverse traditions, cultures, and communities — who serve as trusted advisors at the highest level of the Faith Action Center's work.

What Statewide Advisory Council Members Do

  • Offer insight on the most pressing issues facing vulnerable and underserved communities across New Jersey
  • Provide strategic guidance on how faith institutions can partner with government to address community challenges
  • Speak with a unified moral voice on issues that impact families and neighborhoods statewide
  • Help share information, programs, grants, and opportunities with their networks and congregations
  • Serve as advocates for the programs and resources the FAC makes available

What to Expect

The Council meets three times per year, preferably in person. Before the first meeting, the Executive Director of the FAC will hold individual conversations with each council member — to understand the priorities of your community, learn what your networks are already doing, and build a genuine working relationship from the start.

This is not a ceremonial role. It is a real seat at the table — and your community's voice matters.

Council Size: 7 to 10 members, reflecting the religious, cultural, and geographic diversity of New Jersey.

Interested in Serving?

Faith leaders and Advisory Council members may submit resources and opportunities from their faith-based, nonprofit, or community organizations for posting on the FAC website.

If you are a statewide faith leader with deep community roots and a heart for largescale impact, we invite you to express interest in serving on the FAC Statewide Advisory Council.
